Where Kit is strong.

Where the work needs any of these, Kit may be the better fit today.

Creator tools

Sequences, forms, posts and purchases are first-class, which suits a newsletter business.

App Store and plugins

Plugins add content blocks, dynamic content and media sources to the editor.

Digital products

The purchases API records sales, so buyers can be followed up from the same list.

Kit MCP

An MCP server lets an assistant work with your Kit account.

What maxclicks adds.

Four jobs maxclicks does with AI, next to what the Kit pages we checked describe for the same job.

Give maxinja a goal. Review what it builds.

maxinja coordinates specialist agents that build and refine the audience, the email and the workflow inside your workspace. Ask for an unscheduled campaign and an unpublished workflow, then inspect what it saved.

KitKit offers an MCP server for assistants. The docs we checked describe no built-in agent that plans an audience, email and journey together.

Describe a field. AI writes the logic.

An evaluated attribute turns a written requirement, such as orders in the last 90 days, into saved logic over related records and event history. Workflows and emails can read the result.

Order count attribute showing Evaluated on demand and the generated definition counting recorded customer orders

KitKit stores custom fields, tags and purchases. The developer docs we checked describe no field calculated from history.

An email written for each recipient.

Adaptyle writes the instructed parts of each email at send time, from that recipient’s data and your brand. A pilot sample is judged before release, about 1 in 100 recipients is reviewed during the send, and a failed render stays unsent.

KitContent is written before sending, with dynamic blocks from plugins. The docs we checked describe no per-recipient writing at send time.

AI decisions inside the journey.

AI steps read the run’s context and return structured answers that branches and actions use. Query steps read current data when the step runs, so a newer order can end a follow-up.

KitThe API has no endpoint for custom product events, so product activity reaches Kit as tags, custom fields or purchases.

Pricing.

Kit prices by subscriber count. See its pricing page for current prices.

maxclicks Premium is $49 per workspace per month with 5,000 contact and object records, 50,000 recipient sends and unlimited collaborators. Events and logs do not count as records, and AI work is paid separately from prepaid credits.
